Just a reminder that Ontario's new law for installing and replacing CO alarms in existing homes becomes enforceable on Wed. April 15, 2015.

Homeowners, landlords, property managers, and the fire service are reminded of the upcoming April 15, 2015, compliance deadline for carbon monoxide (CO) alarm installation and replacement requirements outlined in Section 2.16 and Article of Division B of the Fire Code. This first of two phased-in installation/replacement dates applies to existing buildings containing no more than six residential occupancy suites.
